I have arrived in Paro where most of the rice in Bhutan is grown.
Most of the day was consumed with driving from Gangtey to Paro. Upon arriving in Paro, we visited the Bhutan history museum and the Paro fortress. The fortress is the large structure in the above picture.
That picture also shows the valley through which the planes fly to land at Paro airport, Here is a plane flying past the fortress.
I am staying at the COMO Uma Paro hotel. It is quite nice but not nearly as special as the other properties on this trip.

There have been a lot of temple visits on this trip but almost all of them understandably do not allow photos. Because the monastery in Gangtey is private and not associated with the government then photos are allowed.
Tomorrow is the signature hike in Bhutan. It's a 2+ hour hike up to The Tiger's Nest monastery at 10,000 ft.
